Introducing the riveting 500 page début novel of Denise Mallett, one of Mark Mallett's three daughters! Denise is the second of his eight talented children.
The Tree is a Christian medieval fantasy, set in a world much like our own, where the mystical is often regarded as absurd. Journey alongside characters who must face their own darkness as they are driven into the realm of deceit, betrayal, and soul. In the words of one reader, “The Tree is not for the faint of heart”.

Exquisitely written... From the very first pages of the prologue, I could not put it down!
—Janelle Reinhart, Christian recording artist
This literary intrique, so deftly spun, captures the imagination as much for the drama as for the mastery of words. It is a story feld, not told, with eternal messages for our own world."
—Patti Maguire Armstrong, co-writer of the Amazing Grace series
The Tree is an extremely well-written and engaging novel. Mallett has penned a truly epic human and theological tale of adventure, love, intrigue, and the search for ultimate truth and meaning. If this book is ever made into a move—and it should be—the world need only surrender to the truth of the everlasting message.
—Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, author & speaker

This book is well worth reading more than once.
It should be read slowly to ponder all it has to offer but maybe the second time around. I didn't want to put it down Many times my heart was being squeezed with emotion .
loved it, loved it,loved it
Looking forward to the next one.

I was captivated both by the storyline and the characters. You feel like you are right there with them on the journey. The struggles they experienced with their faith were similar to my own and brought tears to my eyes. I loved the characters in Opar, especially the old woman.
One of the most AMAZING things was how Denise developed such intricate storylines and melded them together so seamlessly! I hated to come to the end of the book, and hope it won't end there.
Thank you, Denise, for such an inspiring and memorable book!
